Well I have officially become one of "those people" who along with signing her name and her husbands name to birthday cards, invitations, and Christmas cards...signs her dogs name. I have joined the club. I am also one of "those people" who puts my dog in the family portrait. The family being my hubby and me. Bentley (my dog) ...(I actually thought of his name on our honeymoon while we were walking past a Bentley)...has brought me nothing but joy. Although I love working from home, sometimes I go crazy just being alone all day with no one really to chat with. Well not anymore...most of the day Bentley can be found sleeping next to my desk while I sew. We go for walks, we rest together, and of course we have treat time. We share apples, carrots, cantaloupe, and he loves honeydew. I brush his teeth, clip his nails, and am beginning to make my own dog treats.
He really has made me rethink kids...I mean he will never really have "terrible twos"...he just wants to play! Although we did go through potty training...it really wasn't that bad...except for an incident on Valentines day! He will never tell me he hates me for making him be home by 10:00 and for telling him what to do. He doesn't text while I am trying to talk to him. He will never leave me to go away for college or move away. He has no problem cuddling with me at least once a day. He sits by the window and waits for me to pass by the house as I run around the block. He just loves me and looks at me with those puppy eyes and I want to give him everything. I pray he will be around for a long time.
